Ms Alifia Chakera

Alifia Chakera is Lead Pharmacist for Theatres and Anaesthesia at NHS Lothian, Scotland and is one of the founders of the Nitrous Oxide Project; for which she recently won the Barema and Association Environmental Award from Association of Anaesthetists. The project has also been shortlisted for BMJ awards for environmental sustainability. She has extensive experience as strategic lead, influencing policy-makers within the UK government as well as international institutions such as the WHO, European Commission and non-government organisations.
