The Annual Congress of Anaesthesiology 2024

The College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland and the Faculty of Pain Medicine will be hosting the Congress of Anaesthesiology on the 23rd and 24th of May 2024 at UCD. The Congress will be in person this year. During the two-day conference, we will welcome high-profile national and international speakers.

We are now accepting submissions for E-Posters

* The deadline for submission for e-posters has been extended to Friday 5th April 2024 at 4 pm

Candidates must forward their submissions as an e-poster by Friday 29th March 2024 at 4pm using the e-poster template below.

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

All E-posters must be submitted via our website only. We will not be accepting submissions through email.

E-posters must be submitted as a single PowerPoint slide, in a landscape 16:9 format. Only PowerPoint files will be accepted.

We are now accepting submissions for the Delaney Medal 2024.

A medal commemorating the late Dr Edmund Delaney will be awarded for a presentation on a subject related to anesthetic practice, submitted by a trainee in anaesthesia for work carried out in Ireland.

*Previous winners of the medal may not apply and no trainee may submit more than one application. 

To maintain anonymity, the applications must have been submitted under a ‘non de plume’ abstract form and a normal abstract form. The application must be written in such a way as to avoid giving any clue as to the name or place of work of the author. you can find the application forms below.

There is no maximum word count or reference limit but contents must not exceed an A4 page with 1-inch margins. This limit can be all text or some of the text can be replaced with one display item.

Applications must be submitted on the understanding that they are original and have not previously been published or presented at any scientific meetings.

Applications must be submitted by email to congressabstracts@coa.ie  by Friday 5th Aril 2024 at 5 pm.
