Chair: Dr Donal O’Croínin

  • Dónall Ó’Cróinín graduated from medical school at University College Cork in 1997.
  • Following internship, he commenced his basic specialist training in anaesthesiology.
  • During higher specialist training he was awarded a Health Research Board of Ireland fellowship and carried out his MD research on sepsis-induced lung injury at University College Dublin.
  • After a fellowship in Toronto he assumed his current position of consultant anaesthesiologist at Mercy University Hospital, Cork.
  • Dónall is a clinical senior lecturer at University College Cork.
  • He is the anaesthesiology representative on the consultant advisory board of Irish Doctors for the Environment and is the current chair of the sustainability committee of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland.
