The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital Introduction to
Transesophageal Echo Course is designed to provide an overview of
transesophageal echocardiography encompassing machine setup, image
acquisition and optimization of basic views. This course is suitable
for candidates in later stages of training, trainees who may be
considering Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiology Fellowships and consultant
colleagues who may want a brief refresher. The course is a mix of
didactic lectures/case studies and simulation on transesophageal
