Our next Simulation Faculty Day is confirmed for April 26th 2024.

We need to be trained for when we deliver more formal reflective practice within our simulation courses from September 2024 onwards, so the morning focus will be on a short course on reflective practice to facilitate our work. This work is being rolled out across the College by our President, Prof George Shorten and we are privileged that he is making this course available to us as a group of educators.

We will do some more work on course reviews with an eye to the future of simulation and a further eye to the future will be provided by Prof Dara Byrne who leads the HSE’s new National Simulation Office. Further content to be confirmed, but please save the date and confirm your attendance to Alan at athompson@coa.ie. I hope there will be sufficient interest this year for dinner, so please when you reply to Alan let him know if you can stay for food or a drinks reception.
