Audit Study Day 2013
Dr Lucia Borovickova and Dr Brian Kinirons, CAI Education Committee Chairman
The first Audit Study Day was held in the College on Thursday 7th November.
Dr Lucia Borovickova won the Audit Study Medal for her presentation entitled ‘Clinical audit of compliance with enhanced recovery programme in elective colorectal surgery in Beaumont Hospital’.
Dr Aoife Quinn won the prize for best Poster ‘Audit to Assess Departmental Standards in Performing Anaesthetic Equipment Check’.
Guest speakers included Mr Ken Mealy, Clinical Director of the National Office for Clinical Audit. Dr Phillip Crowley, Head of Quality and Patient Safety, HSE and Dr Richard Griffiths, clinical lead of the UK’s largest Hip fracture audit network. Also Dr Rory Dwyer, clinical lead for the National ICU Audit. Those in attendance included representatives from the National Office for Clinical Audit.
