The College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland invites medical students on the Island of Ireland to submit an essay on the topic of Patient Safety: “Can AI improve Patient Safety? Advantages and Pitfalls”

1st Place: The winner will be awarded a €500 prize and must be available to give a short presentation about their essay at the National Patient Safety Conference in November 2024.

2nd Place: €300

3rd place: €150

The competition is open to all students in Medical Schools on the Island of Ireland.

The essay is limited to 1000 words and 5 references. References, in either Vancouver or Harvard referencing style, are excluded from the final word count.

Applications must include a completed application form and essay. Please email your submission with the attached application form to nknowles@coa.ie by Friday 26th April 2024.
