Workshops at the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland

  • Thursday, 13th November

This year, we’re pleased to offer two engaging workshops as part of the NAPSAC programme. Both will take place at the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland.

  • Cost: €150 per workshop, or €250 for both.

*Please note: You must be registered for NAPSAC in order to attend the workshops.

Workshop 1: Shared Decision Making

Dr Debra Leung

  • Dr Debra Leung is a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. Nationally recognised for her work in Shared Decision-Making (SDM), she will lead a half-day interactive workshop exploring practical tools and communication strategies for integrating SDM into anaesthetic practice—particularly in high-risk or complex cases. Ideal for anaesthesiologists seeking to enhance patient-centred care and collaborative decision-making.

Workshop 2: Peer-to-Peer Support

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Dr Teresa Morris

  • Dr Theresa A. Morris is Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital and co-founder of its clinician peer support program. In this interactive workshop, open to both trainees and consultants, Dr Morris will guide participants in building confidence to offer peer-to-peer support within clinical teams. Through discussion and case-based learning, the session will cover empathetic listening, initiating supportive conversations, and fostering psychological safety. A must-attend for anyone looking to strengthen team culture, resilience, and compassionate leadership.
