Applications Open – Specialist Training Programme in Pain Medicine

We are pleased to advise that applications are now open for the new Specialist Training Programme in Pain Medicine for posts commencing July 2026. Successful applicants will be appointed to the two-year run through programme.

Applications close at 5PM on Monday, September 15^th 2025. Applications are made to painmedicine@coa.ie.  Below a list of requirements for each application:

1. A copy of the applicant’s CV
2. Cover Letter
3. Evidence of CSCST in Anaesthesiology or Document confirming entry onto the Anaesthesiology Specialist Register
4. *Certified Colour Copy of the applicant’s Passport
5. Proof of English Language Competence (if applicable)
6. Two Completed References
7. *Certified Copy of Certificate of Naturalisation (if applicable)

As the programme is a national training programme, some applicants will be allocated to centres outside of Dublin. Further details are all available here.
