Formed in 1990, the Age Anaesthesia Association is a collaboration of health professionals from anaesthetic, surgical and medical backgrounds with the shared mission of attaining age-equal access to and improved outcomes for older people undergoing surgery.

The Age Anaesthesia Association (AAA) is hosting a conference in The Metropole Hotel, Cork, Ireland, on the 26^th and 27^th of March 2026. This first-of-its-kind meeting unites two leading societies to focus on the care of the older adult in surgery, bringing together the full perioperative pathway from assessment to recovery.
