Intensive Care Medicine

 

Trainees must complete a minimum period of training in the sub-specialty areas of
Intensive Care Medicine.  The requirement in Intensive Care is six months total to include at least one 2-month module recognised for training for the purposes of the Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine
of the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine of Ireland.

 

The CAI has recently agreed with the HSE to the provision of 8 full time SpR posts in intensive care medicine,as part of the expansion of the Anaesthesia SpR training programme. These trainees will rotate into full time intensive care for periods of between 6 months and one year.  These posts will be introduced over a period of three years.  You need to be a registered trainee on the SpR programme in order to apply for one of these posts.  If you are interested in posts for July 2012 please forward a CV and cover letter to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
